Continuing with the band's tradition of offering their fans a little something free for the festive season, we're making a hitherto unheard track from our forthcoming album, [REDACTED], available here. Endless Silence will be the second track in and therefore sits between Red River, which has been played at recent shows, including as the opener at Danfest in Leicester, and Distortion Field, the original version of which was released as a free download two years ago, whilst vocalist Rich Harding was in the early stages of recovery from his near-fatal motorcycle accident.
Joining the Also Eden team as a producer/composer is Andy Davies, who has a background of twenty years' experience as a freelance compositional artist. Andy's work is much in evidence on Endless Silence, contributing all of the atmospherics to complement Si Rogers' original guitar (EBow) and electronic drums, and the band are very pleased to have him on board as a source of additional ideas and inspiration, "an extra pair of ears" and two extra hands on the keys and faders.
The artwork is based on an original painting by our friend Neil McChrystal. Neil has been commissioned to produce a series of pieces for the [REDACTED] album, based upon the developing musical and lyrical themes, this piece being called "Shock".
Rich says, "Endless Silence, in keeping with our free download tradition, is a track from the edge of the Also Eden envelope, that also ably showcases Andy Davies's skills. It's also a pleasure to have Neil on board, creating original artwork that will make [REDACTED] stand out. Who knows, it may even inspire us to release it on vinyl."
